Joe Danger on PS Vita to be invaded by Sackboy and Tearaway characters

The developers of Joe Danger have revealed that the new PS Vita version of both games from the series will feature characters from Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway games. Other than that, it has also been disclosed that these games are ‘nearly finished’ which means we could finally see a release date announcement sometime soon.

Alex Wiltshire has posted on the official PlayStation blog saying Atoi and Iota from Tearaway and the beloved Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet games will be playable in Joe Danger for the PS Vita. Both Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2: The Movie have been revealed to be running at 60fps on the handheld console. While the first game will contain 84 levels and 25 characters, the second one will offer a total of 85 levels and 35 playable characters.

Moreover, the developers have made sure that some improvements which formed part of Joe Danger 2 have been incorporated into the first game in this PS Vita port. These include online leaderboards, fresh Trophies and ghosts to race against. Other than that, there’s the obvious inclusion of touch controls which are customary to PS Vita games.

Despite having revealed so much, the developers of Joe Danger have still shied away from disclosing its release date for the PS Vita. We’ll have more on the game when additional details are out.
