New PS3 Patch for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift and Shift II PSP Out Next Month

BlazBlue fans can expect a dollop of news to unfurl across via the official PlayStation blog. Aksys Games. The company plans on unveiling a new patch for the PS3 version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. The sequel to the game namely BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II is also slated to arrive on the PSP next month.

The patch offers a free upgrade to players through which they can take advantage of Version 1.03 that delivers various tweaks and bug fixes. Besides the minor amendments, the patch will also alter the game balance in order to match that of the current BlazBlue version in Japanese arcades. Gamers will be able to plan out new strategies and perform new combos with the upgrade. Players are even offered a new adorable character called Platinum the Trinity which they can bought for the console version of the game.

In other BlazBlue news, Aksys Games has also revealed that BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II is due to arrive on the PSP this May. The portable offering comes complete with balances changes and new DLC along with single-player content and new storyline fashioned exclusively for the handheld system. Owners of the Sony console can soon expect 2D fighting action right in the palms of their hands.

Platinum the Trinity can be unlocked for 7.99 USD (approx. Rs. 354) via the PlayStation Network. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II for the PSP will release in May although the exact pricing or availability details are still unclear at this point.
