Rumor 101: Metal Gear Movie to be CG Generated?

Metal Gear Solid 4 is finally out, since most fans have completed a run through the game their lives seem to be overshadowed in a perpetual cloud of mist, for there are no more Metal Gear games that have been announced from the Kojima Camp. This may partly be due to the fact that Kojima San is stepping into the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to craft out his memorable creation onto the big screen.

Metal Gear Solid 4

The recent buzz in the industry is that the upcoming Metal Gear movie is going to star Christian Bale but grapevine suggest otherwise for they say this movie is planning out to be fully computer generated with live voice actors and is presumably going to be a remake of the very first Metal Gear released on the MSX, which introduces Solid Snake as the main protagonist for the long running series.

Does this mean David shall do the voice over for Solid Snake and Big Boss will be back sans his epic monologues and reprise the role of the one of the greatest villain in the series? Do Shoot Gunner, Machine Gun Kid, Coward Duck, Arnold and the wacky android make their return as bosses? The design of Naked and Solid Snake engaged in an epic close quarter’s battle sounds like the date in heaven.

This idea does not seem quite far off the benchmark since the games in the series have always lingered on with a healthy dose of cutscenes which define action direction creativity and emotion with numerous accolades.

Final Fantasy: The Sprits Within one of the globe biggest videogame franchises that was crafted out into a computer generated movie back in the summer of 2001, even though it bombed with losses of about $130 million at the box office, the production values of this movie were top notch. It was spectacular to witness some of the jaw dropping scenery on screen that made pale even the most technically advanced movie that utilized the services of live actors. Advent Children carried this legacy forward onto the PSP in an UMD. Do stay tuned for more on this front.
