Nobunaga’s Ambition: Iron Triangle has shipped to North America, Koei announced. The game based in Japan’s feudal era became available for purchase a few days ago and can now also be ordered at Amazon, GameFly and GameStop. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Iron Triangle is a strategy game in which Nobunaga Oda is driven to eradicate the war raging in Japan and establish peace for centuries to come.
Gamers can take on the role of warlords of feudal Japan and try to bring this peace to all of Japan. Players must accept technology, build up a strong military and govern wisely in Nobunaga’s Ambition: Iron Triangle, which is the latest edition of the series. These three crucial elements make up the all important “Iron Triangle” which is vital in unifying the nation. Master the “Iron Triangle” and you are on your way to realizing Nobunaga’s dream.
In a first for the series, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Iron Triangle has an expansive 3D map, on which the game’s warfare, planning, construction and diplomacy are played out. To check a region’s development and to keep an eye on the ensuing battles, the gamer is given complete camera control.
The game starts off with Nobunaga’s triumphant victory at the Owari province and runs through to his ill-timed death in 1852. The player can try his hand at a total of nine historical and fictional scenarios spanning three modes of play. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Iron Triangle allows for over 1,000 daimyo and sub-officers. There is even a character creation tool with which you can populate game-world Japan with unique characters.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Iron Triangle has been developed by Koei and retails for about USD 29.99 (approx. Rs. 1,465). The game is available for the PS2 and a PC version is expected to be released shortly.
