Deus Ex: Human Revolution Trademarked by Square Enix

Deus Ex, the role playing game with elements of first person shooter games, was released in 2000. The game has seen a sequel titled Deus Ex: Invisible War and is awaiting a third in the series, until now known only as Deus Ex 3. The third game is said to be a prequel to the first.

Siliconera is reporting that Square Enix has filed a trademark in Europe for something called Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which the web site reckons could go on to be the official name for Deus Ex 3. And apparently the company has also filed two trademarks Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex Human Revolution (without a colon) in North America. So, we can’t help but wonder if the American trademarks point to a multiplatform release for the game.

Information has been quite limited on Deus Ex 3, and the game has been pegged only for PCs as it stands. But we’re hoping that this trademark filing means that Square Enix is ready to come forward and announce something about the game real soon.
