Puddle Hitting PSN and Xbox Live This Month

January 25, 2012 has been confirmed by Konami to be the release date of Puddle which will be outed by the publisher through PSN and Xbox Live. This new game will ask players to guide several diverse liquids through a series of stages, with each of them said to be more imaginative than the last.

Puddle 1

The game apparently began as a student project and has also won a Student Showcase prize at the Independent Gaming Festival at the Game Developer’s Conference of 2010. The initial version was just a six level project developed by E-Neko Entertainment, while it has now turned out to be a full-fledged downloadable title. This game was on display at last year’s E3.

Puddle 2

Throughout the title, gamers will be required to stay away from heat beams and rays of electric current that can dry up their puddles. This title will also involve many other such scenarios like handling a blob of radioactive fluid, following a virtual puddle of rocket fuel through a hand drawn blueprint and even pursuing a sip of water as it makes its way through a human body.

The respective liquids will be guided by tilting the environment and balancing each fluid’s unique properties with the environmental factors of gravity. Moreover, other aspects such as friction and obstacles will also come into play. The PSN version of this title has been announced to feature support for motion controls with the PS Move and Sixaxis controllers.

Puddle 4

Puddle will be made available for purchase through PSN and Xbox Live on January 25, 2012. Pricing information of this game is yet to be revealed by Konami.
