Kameleon Project Announced by Slitherine Software

Independently funded games developer Slitherine Software has come out with a very innovative way to help other independent developers bring their games to the market. They have announced the Kameleon Project, which will aid independent games developers to find the required work force.

For example, if a gaming studio has programmers but does not have the artists to make the artwork and environments, they can use the Kameleon Project to find some one who can do their artistic work. Likewise, a gaming developer may need other expert help too, like marketing personnel, sound engineers or designers. They can use the Slitherine Software’s pioneering project for finding the exact match.

A gaming studio has already used the Kameleon Project. Firepower Entertainment’s Commanders – Europe at War is the first game to release from the Kameleon Project. DoubleThink Studios has also worked with Firepower Entertainment for Commanders – Europe at War.

Johan Persson, Firepower Entertainment explains, “For Firepower Entertainment, being part of the Kameleon Project has been a huge opportunity for us to get into the game business by working directly with Slitherine. This would not have been possible otherwise and I’m really satisfied that Slitherine has given Firepower Entertainment the chance to prove itself in this way.”

Iain McNeil, Slitherine Software said, “Firepower Entertainment had some great ideas but just required a little help and to be pointed in the correct direction. They put in the entire difficult task and now they have a immense game. We just cannot wait to see it released. It’s exciting times for us and we are especially proud to be able to bring the work of these talented teams to the market, which might not otherwise have seen the light of day.”
