Spiral Knights is noted to be a multiplayer online title that falls under the action-adventure genre. The free-to-play offering is set to unfurl with console-style adventuring across a persistent online world. Developed by Three Rings and published by Sega, Spiral Knights is expected to unveil this spring.
The forthcoming title enables players to enjoy the game alone or go in with up to four friends as they traverse through the levels unraveling the hidden secrets of the Clockworks dungeon world. The ever-changing realm is further brought to the forefront painted in a retro-inspired visual style. The companies endow the title with intuitive pick-up-and-play controls that cover both mouse-only and gamepad control.
“Based on our experience with titles like Puzzle Pirates, as well as fond memories of dreaming up new games when we were kids, we have built an instantly accessible, action-packed world that appeals to gamers of every type,” revealed Daniel James, CEO of Three Rings. “Spiral Knights skips the stereotypical level grind for a co-op adventure that is focused on fun gameplay above all else.”

Gamers can personalize the gear, abilities and appearance of their characters as well as form guilds of their choice. Upgrading weapons and gear is made possible either through traveling along the different in-game paths or by buying Crystal Energy.
Spiral Knights is slated to release by spring this year. The companies haven’t revealed the exact availability details of the game.
