Petz Rescue Games for Nintendo Consoles Unveiled by Ubisoft

Some two years ago, we had reported that Ubisoft was working on expanding the Petz series of video games. Now Ubisoft has introduced one more brand of video games revolving around that theme. Called as Petz Rescue, these games for the Nintendo DS and Wii focus on preserving diverse animal life as well as protecting the planet.

First up, we have Petz Rescue Wildlife Vet, which sees gamers assume the role of a young vet and care for domestic and exotic animals as well as examine the root behind the local animals’ illnesses. The other game is Petz Rescue Endangered Paradise where gamers play as a member of an environmental rescue team. Then we gave Petz Rescue Ocean Patrol, were gamers play as Mila or Greg and assist their uncle in saving rare marine life on an isolated marine island.

Tony Key, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, North America, Ubisoft says, “We are excited about the expansion of the popular Petz franchise, which is our sixth best-selling brand, with over 13 million units sold to date. In the Petz games, children had the chance to take care of a variety of cute animals; with Petz Rescue, they will be empowered to actually save and heal the wildlife they encounter. This new line is designed to provide young players with positive messages about animal conservation through fun and exciting adventures.”
