A few days ago, we had reported that the release of Grand Theft Auto for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 had been delayed in India. Now Microsoft India has sent word that GTA IV for the Xbox 360 will be available from May 16, 2008 in India. That is tomorrow!
An excerpt from the press release sent to us by Microsoft:
The day has finally arrived; today “Grand Theft Auto IV” is available on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Play “Grand Theft Auto IV” multiplayer online with your friends starting today over the Xbox LIVE ( online entertainment network. By End 2008, Xbox 360 owners will also have access to exclusive “Grand Theft Auto IV” episodes that will provide hours of additional game play.
GTA IV was supposed to release in India on April 29, 2008, at the same time it was releasing all over the world. However, due to global shortages, the launch was delayed. Well, if you own an Xbox 360, tomorrow is the day you can officially get hold of Grand Theft Auto IV. No word on the PS3 version yet! Click here to read the GTA IV Review.
