One action role playing game series that has caught the attention of many a gamer this decade is the Fable series. The first game came out for the Xbox and PC some years ago and fans of the series are eagerly awaiting the release of the sequel. Now Lionhead Studios and Microsoft Game Studios have sent word that Fable II will release in October 2008.
Fable II will release in the United States on October 21, 2008. As usual, Europe gets the game three days later, i.e. on October 24, 2008. They also revealed the details of the Limited Collector’s Edition of Fable II that comes with a bonus DVD as well as extra in-game content (which requires Xbox Live Account). The LE Fable II also has collectible Hobbe figure with accessories as well as a forty-eight hour Live trial cards along with five printed fate cards.
As for the Fable II Pub Games, it will be available on the XBLA from August 13, 2008. Gamers who pre-order Fable II will be able to download the Pub Games free; those who don’t, all they have to do is pay 800 Microsoft Points. The Fable II Pub Games consist of Fortune’s Tower, Keystone and Spinnerbox.
Coming to the pricing, Fable II will cost $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2520). As for the Limited Collector’s Edition of Fable II, it will come with a price tag of $79.99 (approx. Rs. 3360).
