SOE Unmasks Payday: The Heist for PS3, PC

Lately, we’ve been reporting about the emergence of varied squad-based first person shooters. At this year’s E3, SOE revealed a new game dubbed Payday: The Heist to expand the library of such titles for the PS3 and PC. Delivering action-packed co-op combats, the game entails teamwork and velocity as basic elements of its play.

Transforming enthusiasts into ambitious criminals, it will chart their progress through several ‘death-defying heists.’ The game will require them to blow a building’s rooftop or empty treasure vaults at the First World Bank through six stickup heists. As they move towards earning the next ‘big score,’ players can keep a tab on their improvements via the Massive Character Progression Tree feature.

Encompassed with detailed environments, the title features adaptive enemy tactics which extends a new situations for every round of gameplay. Integrated attributes such as the Shout Out Button, unlockable items and Hostage Trading have been touted to enhance its replay value. Besides, the company has announced that innovative weapons, supplementary missions and more will be unleashed to add zing into these heists.

Payday: The Heist was showcased at the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. We’ve not heard about its official release date and pricing details yet.
