Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 3 Coming This August

We had earlier reported that the World at War Map Pack 2 had been downloaded more than a million times in its first weekend of release. Now, Activision Publishing and Treyarch have announced that the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 3 will come out in August. The Map Pack 3 will feature the Breach, Revolution and Battery multiplayer maps along with a new Der Riese (Zombie Factory) map.

The first two map packs for the highly acclaimed game have already sold over 4 million units on PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live combined. And according to major market research companies, the Call of Duty game has itself sold in excess of 11 million copies across various platforms.

The Battery map will re-acquaint players with heavy doses of CQC and will provide ample cover spaces for soldiers under fire. It features a fortified island surrounded by cannons and anti-ship mines. The Breach multiplayer map is set in the city streets of Berlin and will provide gamers with some really fast paced action.

The Revolution map showcases Russia’s icy city streets and large factories. This map is filled with trigger happy snipers so the soldiers better watch out. The Der Riese map is set in a secret Nazi research facility where users can upgrade weapons with the help of the ‘Pack A Punch Machine’. This map will also feature 10 new Trophies for the PS3 and 10 new Achievements for Xbox 360.

Call of Duty: World at War is developed by Treyarch and the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 3 will release sometime in August for PS3 and Xbox 360, while the exact release dates and prices have not been announced.
