Bungie already has its hands full with Halo: Reach which they claim to be their final Halo game in the series post which the developers claim they are looking to move towards a much more varied field and experimenting with different genres. The studio has already a project barring the Halo one which is currently being kept under wraps, the costing of which is so expensive that only a handful number of publishers can afford.

It has come to our notice that there might be multiple projects under Bungie’s belt that are currently in development for the last year. This piece of information comes via Richard Lico LinkedIn profile who lists multiple projects being under development at Bungie studios. This profile also reveals an interesting facet of the developer is “particularly interested in games which focus on melee combat” which points to a possibility that this might be included as a gameplay mechanic in the studio’s upcoming project Halo: Reach.

This is said from the assumption that Fredric-104, a Spartan warrior, who took part in the Fall of Reach was an expert with a combat knife and close quarters combat. One of the leaked images that has been circulating around the internet already suggests some form of heavy trooper to be present in the game, hence the possibility of a Spartan who is at expertise at CQC cannot stray far away.

Official details of the project are going to be unveiled in the coming months ahead, including a gameplay snippet due at a popular video game award ceremony.

This is a good one for bungie. Since the halo’s success its been a good run for them so far accept one or two loop holes.
