Volition has recently revealed via a job posting that the company is working its heels off on a highly anticipated project, besides the already announced sequel to Saint’s Row. Here’s the overview of the posting.

“Volition is seeking an awesomely talented Senior Designer for our new title, [REDACTED]. This game will be all about [CENSORED] and [CENSORED] but instead of [EDITED] like normal, this game will have you [DO NOT TALK ABOUT THAT] and [ESPECIALLY DO NOT TALK ABOUT THAT], in some cases even [SHUT UP STOP TYPING.]”
The Job specifications for the senior designer and senior art designer include the following fields he/she will be working on- Level layout and construction, Gameplay systems design, Mission scripting and implementation, while the Senior Environmental Artist will work from concept art to model and texture visually striking, high-poly, ultra-realistic environments for an “unannounced” Xbox360/PS3 title.
Sounds a lot as though they are recruiting a lot of people to craft another first person shooter. All this information seems to point to Red Faction III which has already been announced and confirmed by THQ, just ignore the whole bit of it being an unannounced title, its just a way of keeping the whole dev process under tight secrecy. The first two games were pretty much a blast with the whole GeoMod business, which has become a staple diet for gamers these days. Let’s just hope that these chaps have something truly phenomenal to offer with the 3rd outing of the game.
