FlatOut Ultimate Carnage for PC Announced by Empire Interactive

Last year in February, we had posted that FlatOut Ultimate Carnage was announced for the Xbox 360. Now Silverstar Holdings subsidiary Empire Interactive has sent word that a PC version of FlatOut Ultimate Carnage is under development. The FlatOut series has sold more than two million copies.

FlatOut Ultimate Carnage for the PC will feature Carnage gameplay modes and improved graphics that rival the Xbox 360 version of the game. Also, the racing game will include online multiplayer that offers wheel-to-wheel action.

Clive Kabatznik, CEO, Silverstar Holdings quoted, “The FlatOut series has been a global success story for Empire. With more than 2 million unit sales internationally, the FlatOut franchise is an important part of our game portfolio and we are certain FlatOut Ultimate Carnage for PC will add to our ongoing success and bring new fans to the title.”

Ian Higgins is the chief executive officer of Empire Interactive. He says, “Research suggests that arcade racers are becoming ever more popular on the PC, with the Xbox 360 controller providing the ideal way to enjoy the genre. Ultimate Carnage is an entirely new prospect for PC, and we are excited to be bringing FlatOut’s exceptional gameplay experience to PC gamers everywhere.”

FlatOut Ultimate Carnage for the PC is currently being developed by Bugbear Entertainment, the same people who worked on the Xbox 360 version of the game. It is expected to release in June 2008.
