Some time ago, six years to be precise, THQ had come up with a cool first person shooter, which was known as Red Faction. A sequel was released in 2002. So naturally rumors about a next-gen Red Faction game were doing the rounds of the internet. However, now the head honcho has officially confirmed the new Red Faction Game.
At the THQ conference, boss Brian Farrell said, “Today, we are confirming the next Red Faction game.” That’s it! Nothing more about the game! He then started speaking about the success of Ratatouille and THQ’s strategy for the new fiscal year and forthcoming games like Juiced, Stuntman, WWE, Frontlines, and MX vs ATV.
So as of now there are no details about the new Red Faction video game, neither about the gameplay nor the platforms it will come on. The original game was famed for Geo-Mod or geometry modification technology, that lets gamers demolish certain sections of the scenery in the game. It would be great to see that same feature in a next-gen format in the new Red Faction game.
