THQ’s UFC Personal Trainer: The Ultimate Fitness System Unveiled

Fitness appears to have secured a spot on developers mind across the gaming terrain. Expanding the league of numerous health-based titles, THQ and Zuffa revealed their next game dubbed UFC Personal Trainer: The Ultimate Fitness System. It will extend a workout regime to players across a variety of platforms including the Kinect for Xbox 360, PlayStation Move for PS3 and Wii.

“UFC Personal Trainer delivers an authentic UFC fitness experience that is both fun and challenging while providing an intense workout. With the help of NASM and its Optimum Performance Training model, as well as the expertise of renowned MMA trainers Mark DellaGrotte, Greg Jackson and Javier Mendez, we are developing an original, high impact product that will help people around the world set and achieve their personal fitness goals,” remarked Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President, Core Games, THQ.

“We are excited to join forces with THQ on the development of UFC Personal Trainer,” beamed UFC President Dana White. “We want to give fans the opportunity to train like their favorite UFC athletes, and this product will enable people around the world to learn and utilize exercises to get real results.”

Designed in collaboration with National Academy of Sports Medicine, it has been touted to deliver fitness regimes and full programs. These routines have been crafted to extend effective exercises which are followed by renowned UFC fighters as well. Personalities such as mixed martial arts trainers Greg Jackson, Javier Mendez and Mark DellaGrotte along with UFC Heavyweight Champions Frank Mir and Cain Velasquez have been involved with the development of the game.

The title’s Kinect for Xbox 360 version is being created to make the most of its body tracking and motion-sensing capabilities. It is also said to contain exclusive content for the system. This version of the game will enable enthusiasts to indulge in intense workout session as well as gain immediate feedback about their form and technique.

UFC Personal Trainer: The Ultimate Fitness System has been slated to reach stores for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii in June this year.
