Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs Highlight This Week’s PS3 Releases

The drought of big releases is all set to come to an end this week, as both Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs will be hitting North American retail on August 14. As far as PSN is concerned, Papo & Yo will be arriving for the PS3 tomorrow as part of the PSN Play program, while other new games hitting the service include CSI: Fatal Conspiracy and the PS2 Classic, Shinobi.

Darksiders II

Revolving around the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the Darksiders series, in its first game allowed players to assume control of War. In Darksiders II, they will be playing as Death, and will follow a parallel storyline to that of the pervious title. Sleeping Dogs will also be out for the PS3 tomorrow. This open world cop drama transpires in Hong Kong and has its focus on an undercover operation to infiltrate the Triads.

Today is the final day to per-order Papo & Yo through PSN, which will fetch gamers a free theme for their PS3 XMBs. It is available for PS Plus members at a 20 percent discounted price. CSI: Fatal Conspiracy includes five connected cases asking for crime-solving from players. It will be out with tomorrow’s PS Store update along with demos of Papo & Yo, Madden NFL 13 (PS3 and PS Vita) and Hustle Kings, as well as the PS2 Classic, Shinobi.

Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs have their European PS3 releases lined up for August 21 and August 17, respectively.
