We recently reported that Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will arrive this Fall. Here, we are back spilling some more beans about the latest installment of the music based game. The popular rock band Rush has teamed up with Activision to infuse the all-new, story-based Quest Mode in the title with their seven-part suite from the classic 2112 album.
Donning the role of rock warriors, players will have to start a musical expedition to assist Demi-God of Rock on their mission to preserve rock music. Gamers can step in as any one of the eight Guitar Hero characters and can use their distinct, game-changing powers to defeat ”˜The Beast.’ Embedded with all new gameplay features, this new title has a set-list of more than 90 songs which will transport rock legends into players’ living rooms.
“Our collaborations with legendary artists and bands, like Rush, are key to creating an original rock experience and have helped drive Guitar Hero’s success,” enunciated David Haddad, Chief Operating Officer, Guitar Hero. “The journey that Rush’s 2112 seven-part suite takes fans on fits flawlessly within the story Neversoft has expertly created for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and perfectly adds to the authenticity of the game.”
As the journey progresses, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will elevate the experience with the exclusive three-part 2112 Rush-inspired location. Gamers can immerse into the 20 minute, seven-part suite which includes songs such as ”˜Overture’, ”˜The Temples Of Syrinx’, ”˜Discovery’, ”˜Presentation’, ”˜Oracle: The Dream’, ”˜Soliloquy’ and ”˜Grand Finale.’ As Guitar Hero musicians play their guitar and drum beats with their friends, the song transitions will showcase band members describing liner notes from the album.
“The music, the story and the journey of 2112 lends itself perfectly to the quest in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock,” beams Geddy Lee of Rush. “In our story, the caves of 2112 are where our hero finds the lost guitar and this rediscovery of music is much like the Guitar Hero warriors’ journey to find the Demi-God of Rock’s Legendary guitar, which has been trapped in a cavern.”
This new musical title has been crafted to raise temperatures as the gaming scene will be flooded with tracks from bands including Black Sabbath, Slipknot and Megadeth. In addition, band anthems from Queen, Muse and KISS will add zing to the overall gaming experience. In this installment, players will be able to unlock ample of content and earn higher rewards. The Quickplay+ mode will test gamers’ rock skills while the game will also include a Party Play and Competitive Mode. Lastly, by combining up to four instruments, players can experience enriching and interactive gaming sessions.
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment and will be available for the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the Wii gaming consoles. The game is expected to land by Fall this year.
