Kingdom Hearts 4 Made Official With Trailer

Kingdom Hearts 4

Kingdom Hearts 4 has just been announced by Square Enix with a trailer that gives us a glimpse of the game’s plot. This revelation came as part of the series’ 20th-anniversary celebration event and just in case you’re wondering about the release date, there’s no information on that front yet.

Series protagonist Sora returns with Kingdom Hearts 4 but sports a very different look this time around. The trailer for the game begins at the 4:05 mark in the video posted below. It mentions that the story will revolve around a new Lost Master Arc.

It will take place in a city named Quadratum, which has been described as a “large, expansive city set in a gorgeous, realistic world unlike anything ever seen before in the Kingdom Hearts series.” Donald Duck and Goofy will be making appearances and so will a ”mysterious new character” named Strelitzia.

There are glimpses of gameplay to be found in the trailer, where Sora can be seen squaring off against a giant shadow monster in the middle of a city street. The Kingdom Hearts series has seen thirteen games released so far but this one will mark only the fourth main installment.

The action RPG franchise was conceived as a collaboration between Disney and Square Enix, with the former’s characters entering the fictional world created by the latter. These games are centered around Sora and his friends who can be seen clashing against the multiple incarnations of Xehanort, the primary antagonist.
