The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s first expansion gets a release date

The first expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, named Hearts of Stone has just been granted a release date by the game’s makers. This paid DLC will be launched for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC versions of the game on October 13 at a price of 9.99 USD (approx. Rs 665).

It has been revealed by CD Projekt RED that this fresh expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has only been designed for players who have their Geralt character at or above level 30. It transpires in the wilds of No Man’s Land, and features a contract to kill a bandit captain who possesses the power of immortality.

This DLC pack for the hit role-playing title will contain 10 hours of gameplay. There’s even supposed to be a second expansion for the game which will offer even more hours of content, and will be released in Q1 2016. Named Blood & Wine, it will apparently be pricier than Hearts of Stone, at 20 USD (approx. Rs 1330).

Coming back to the upcoming expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it has been revealed to contain a new gameplay mechanic that will arrive in the form fo Runewords. Every special Runeword will change a different aspect of in-game mechanics in order to enable players to experiment with various strategies and tactics. Furthermore, Hearts of Stone even features new monsters, new characters and a new romance.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC. It is a much appreciated action-based role-playing game taking place inside a massive open world environment. Within just six weeks of its launch, it had managed to sell off 6 million copies worldwide.
