Gyromancer coming for XBLA and PC

Bejeweled developer PopCap Games and Final Fantasy developer Square Enix had formed a collaboration to deliver a new type of video game. Titled Gyromancer, the downloadable game is slated to be a cross between a puzzle and a role playing game, and will contain elements representative of both video game genres.

Now Shacknews is reporting that Gyromancer is scheduled to release for the Xbox Live Arcade and PC this month. A Square Enix rep has even confirmed the game’s release date and pricing information for both platforms. The game will apparently combine quest and experience mechanics of conventional role playing games with combat which is based on something like the colour matching gameplay found in Bejeweled.
