Simon Jeffery, President & COO, SEGA of America says, “BioWare is one of the hottest names in RPG development in the world. Everyone at SEGA has enormous confidence that Sonic is in the safest of hands, and that BioWare can make the ultimate handheld RPG experience for gamers of all ages.”

Greg Zeschuk, President, BioWare commented, “We are pleased to be working with SEGA on Sonic, one of the industry’s most enduring and compelling icons.

Ray Muzyka, CEO, BioWare said, “As huge fans of Sonic ourselves, we are committed to delivering a truly astounding story-driven experience within the Sonic universe, focusing on capturing the character’s broad appeal and placing him in a completely original adventure.”

No details about the gameplay or the storyline have been revealed. Even the title has not been decided as yet. Whatever it is, it would be an amazing experience to play a Sonic RPG on the Nintendo DS. It remains to be seen if Sega and BioWare exploit DS’s wireless capabilities to make the game an MMO!
