XFX ATI Radeon HD 5970 4GB Black Edition Graphics Card Unveiled in India

XFX has been flooding India with their graphics cards and accessories to provide players residing in the country an enhanced gaming experience. Having joined forces with Rashi Peripherals for nearly 12 years, the company has released quite a few offerings in the past such as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 275 graphics card and more recently ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card. Further binding the relationship between the two companies, the XFX ATI Radeon HD 5970 4GB Black Edition graphics card was showcased and presented to Rashi Peripherals at an event held in Mumbai, India yesterday.

Stressing on the offering being an exclusive limited edition, Mr. Sunny Narain, VP of XFX Asia Pacific reveals that less than 800 models will be produced and probably won’t extend the availability beyond that number. These serialized cards come complete with a custom P-90-themed LAN bag which has the ability to accommodate and organize different peripherals. The gun case replica-style LAN bag fashioned by G8 Brand made it safely into the country through airport customs with it bearing quite a realistic appearance.

Kapal Pansari, Director – Marketing, Rashi Peripherals revealed, “We are thrilled to launch this weapon for the gaming enthusiasts in India. This will take the gaming experience to an all new level and literally blow everyone’s mind with its flawless performance.”

There are six mini-display port outputs for running up to six displays fitted with ATI Eyefinity technology. ATI Stream Technology claims to enhance system performance by offloading tasks that were earlier CPU bound to the GPU. The graphics card also boasts of ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology, DirectCompute 11, ATI PowerPlay technology, ATI Avivo technology Enhanced Unified Video Decoder 2 and HDMI 1.3. Also the necessary cables have been provided along with the offering.

The event saw the company bringing to light once again the 850W Black Edition as well as the 650 and 750 power supply units. Sunny Narain also revealed during the event that the Indian markets were a tough lot as gamers look for value of money than for the actual performance of the product. The theme of the unleashing was complete World Domination as XFX looked at spreading their latest product across the entire gaming terrain. As part of this innovative theme, Narain is also designated with the title Lieutenant Colonel of Parties.

The XFX ATI Radeon HD 5970 4GB Black Edition graphics card that was first showcased at Computex 2010 bears an MRP of Rs. 99,990 and has already been booked by three players in India. The worldwide release of the highly-awaited product is slated to take place on August 24, 2010.
