Sony is now planning to take on Apple by launching an online video download service in early 2007. They are also planning to come out with one more service for the PSP where they will let consumers download movies via a computer and store them on MemoryStick for viewing on the PSP.
Movie download websites like Movielink and CinemaNow as well as Amazon are in talks with Sony for the service. However, the main concern for the consumers will be the prices. Sony owns truckloads of movies as it had bought many movie studios and with it the rights to publish them.
