Gears of War 3 Horde Command Pack DLC Arrives on November 1

The first DLC for Gears of War 3 titled the Horde Command Pack would be made available to gamers on November 1, 2011 and will add to the game, new maps, three new playable characters, two new weapon skins, additional achievements worth 250 Gamerscore and more. Fortification upgrades in the Horde mode of the title would also make their way through this update.

Priced at 800 Microsoft Points, this DLC will be offered for free to those who purchased the game’s Season Pass upon its launch. The three new maps include Blood Drive which comprises a number of high ground and funneled choke points. The Rustlung map apparently takes place on a decommissioned battleship while the Azura transpires on an island resort which has now turned into a combat zone.

The list of new characters consists of Onyx Guard, Big Rig Dizzy and Bernie whereas the new weapons skins include Team Plasma and Jungle Camo. The Command Center fortification allows gamers to call in fire support from sniper teams, mortar strikes and even multiple Hammers of Dawn. Furthermore, the Decoy Upgrade turns the decoy of players into an Onyx Guard bot who will fight in their defense.

A fire bolt sentry that endures more damage will be added by the Sentry fortification. Moreover, the Silverback Upgrade would allow players to advance their Silverback exo-suit with rockets and extra levels of repair cost reduction.

The Gears of War 3 Horde Command Pack DLC will be released for the game through Xbox Live on November 1, 2011. It is supposed to retail at 800 Microsoft Points.
