Microsoft Kinect Sensor for Xbox 360 Priced Under $150

No longer known by its code name Project Natal, the Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 further sparked interest in gamers as Microsoft announced the release date and complete launch line-up for the controller-free gaming device. However, the company seemed to give the pricing details a miss during this particular bit of revelation. Now the much-awaited pre-order price of the Kinect Sensor for Xbox 360 can be found on the official Microsoft Store page.

Microsoft has tagged the Kinect Sensor for Xbox 360 at 149.99 USD (approx. Rs. 6,902) giving complete Pre-Order Price Guarantee. The store page also discloses the contents of the box. Besides the Kinect Sensor for Xbox 360, the offering will include a power supply cable, Wi-Fi extension cable and User’s manual.

The device features a color VGA motion camera and depth camera which boast of 640 x 480 pixel resolution at 30fps. There are also four microphones for single speaker voice recognition. The Kinect Sensor utilizes full-body tracking which recognizes the player’s body gestures and copies the movements in the game.

VG247 revealed that despite all the hush-hush and speculation surrounding the pricing details of the Kinect Sensor at E3, rumors floating around echoed of a price ranging from $150 cost price to $189 at retail. Apparently the price suggested by the company matches that of the Xbox 360 Arcade Spring 2010 Bundle.
