Last week we had posted about the Toonami: Game On Video Gaming Championship by Cartoon Network. The event saw around 2000 kids participate and compete on the Xbox 360. However, in the end, it was one Nimish Parab from Francis High School, Borivili, who emerged as the ultimate winner.
The participants had won invites to the Toonami championship through on-air contests and school contact programmes. Around 100 kids were competing on 50 Xbox 360 consoles at any given time. They were playing the PGR 3. The kids were divided in to 3 time slots and the winners of each batch played the winners of the previous batch. Initially they raced on the Tokyo track, then the London one and finally on the Las Vegas track. Finals were a best-of-three affair where the finalists raced on all the three tracks.
The Toonami: Game On Video Gaming Championship winner, Nimish Parab who is just 13 took home the Xbox 360 and a Cartoon Network trophy. Other participants were gifted goodies from Cartoon Network.
