The mystery surrounding the specifications of the Nintendo Switch is starting to unravel slowly as more and more details of the device leak. Going by our previous report, we already think we know the price of the console – around £349.99 or $428 or Rs 28600. Additionally, it is expected to hit retail in March 2017.
Although the bigwigs over at Nintendo have been keeping mum about the actual features of the console, they have been keen to insist that the launch of new titles and support for the 3DS will continue since the upcoming device is not intended to be a replacement, but merely an entirely different experience for gamers.
There has been speculation over whether or not the Nintendo Switch will have a touchscreen. Eurogamer says it will have a capacitive, 10-point multi-touch display measuring 6.2 inches. It means support for finger gestures. According to the unnamed sources, this panel will offer only 720p resolution visuals.
But the disappointment doesn’t stop at the anticipated lack of a 1080p full HD screen on the Switch. It will apparently have only 4GB of RAM, which seems a little underwhelming for a gaming console such as this. In case you’re waiting for Nintendo to confirm either of these stories, you’ll have a long wait ahead.

Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki claims that the company has no inclination to release any information about the Nintendo Switch until 2017. It won’t even publish the list of games headed for the device until next year. Seems a bit harsh on eager fans, to be honest.
