Nintendo is banking on that little thing called nostalgia to sell its Nintendo Entertainment System: Mini Collector’s Edition NES which can be plugged right into your TV. It is priced at $59.99 and will be launched on November 11, right in time for the holiday shopping season.
As its name suggests, the NES Classic Edition is a smaller version of the system every gamer may fondly remember from their childhood days. It comes with an HDMI cable enabling users to connect it directly to their TV, a Classic Controller as well as an AC adapter.
What about games? Well, Nintendo will be selling it with no less than 30 pre-loaded titles covering all the classics from Super Mario Bros. to Donkey Kong to Pac-Man to The Legend of Zelda and more. Scroll down to the bottom of this post for the full list of in-built games.
The NES Classic Edition will be sold with one controller. You can also indulge in Virtual Console NES games on a Wii U or Wii system by connecting it to a Wii Remote controller. In case you want your friend to join in on the fun, Nintendo will be selling controllers separately at $9.99 each.
