The app stores right now are literally littered with Flappy Bird clones which you can download onto your mobile devices, and Fall Out Bird is set to become one of them. If the name of this title hasn’t given it away to you, it’s a play of words for Fallout Boy, the American pop punk band known for albums like Save Rock and Roll and Infinity on High.

Only one representational image of Fall Out Bird is available right now, and by the looks of it, it’ll look extremely similar to Flappy Bird, with the exception being that the playable characters would be actual band members themselves. According to a post on the group’s official site, ”˜Rome wasn’t built in a day, but this game was.’ Fall Out Bird is slated to arrive on the Apple App Store and the Google Play store sometime this week.
After making waves with its addictive yet ridiculous gameplay, Flappy Bird was taken down last Sunday by its maker Dong Nguyen on grounds of the game being obsessive. For those not in the loop, Flappy Bird involves guiding an avian creature through unending obstacles which make their presence felt in the form of pipes. Employing the Copter concept, it presents you with a terribly difficult gameplay experience which asks for long-term honing of skills.
Tons of similar games have cropped up on the app stores ever since Flappy Bird was taken down, and Fall Out Bird will be latest addition to them.
