In one more case of blink-and-you-miss-it video game listings, it has been revealed that Guitar Hero III will release for the PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. This time around, the listings were not spotted on an online retailer’s site, but were seen on the support center listing on RedOctane’s online Guitar Hero knowledge base. The listing has now been taken off.
RedOctane, which is the original publisher of the Guitar Hero franchise, is now owned by Activision. CEO Bobby Kotick had earlier stated that they want to bring the Guitar Hero franchise to every significant new format. Recently, an Activision representative was heard saying that the publishers are looking forward to bring the Guitar Hero to the DS and Wii.
The listing also mentioned Guitar Hero IIIwould release in Fall 2007. However, there has been no official statement from Activision. Keep watching this space for more details.
