Call of Duty fans have been expecting the Black Ops 3 – Zombies Chronicles map pack since the leaks started showing up all over the place. Well, PS4 users at least are getting it today (May 16), while Xbox One and PC gamers will have to wait indefinitely owing to Sony calling dibs for 30 days on the Call of Duty releases.
Zombies Chronicles features eight maps, none of which are brand new. They’re remastered maps from older games in the series. Borrowed from World at War are Nacht der Untoten, Shi No Numa and Verruckt. Origins from Black Ops II, and Kino Der Toten, Shangri-la, Moon as well as Ascension from the original Black Ops are also on offer. But you knew that already.
Activision and Treyarch are handing out extras to buyers of the DLC in the form of ten GobbleGums, vials of Liquid Divinium and weapon camo. Pre-order customers will additionally receive a Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles Dynamic System Theme for PS4. The launch of Zombies Chronicles will be celebrated with an ‘8 Days of the Undead’ event.

This will allow Black Ops III gamers across all platforms and Zombies Chronicles players on PS4 to pull in double XP rewards, participate in community challenges and earn exclusive content for free. Now there’s the matter of the price of course, and you can be sure there will be a few complaints as usual. But most fans will end up buying it anyway.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 – Zombies Chronicles DLC map pack for Sony PS4 costs $29.99.
