F.E.A.R. 3, Paranormal First Person Shooter Finally Unveiled

Horror themed FPS’ always seem to grab eyebrows with their immersive gameplay. F.E.A.R. has been one such series and gamers waiting for the next installment needn’t linger anymore. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment reveals that F.E.A.R. 3, the paranormal horror first person shooter has been launched in North America for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Point Man, the genetically modified super-soldier is back with the undead spirit of his psychic brother Paxton Fettel. Both must resolve their differences in order to stop their mother Alma Wade form giving birth to ”˜something that could destroy the world’. The storyline which looks promising seems to have received a touch of class from Hollywood director John Carpenter and writer Steve Niles.

Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, revealed, “F.E.A.R. 3 provides all the hallmark thrills the series is known for delivering along with new blood-pumping multiplayer modes. The game is staying true to its roots while improving on the experience with divergent co-op and high quality multiplayer created exclusively within the F.E.A.R. universe.”

It is the first time in the F.E.A.R. franchise that a game will feature a divergent co-op mode. Developers have also enhanced the social gameplay of this title by offering gamers the opportunity to affect the game and experience of the people they are playing with or against. A large number of scoring and challenge systems are also available within the game. Its Multiplayer feature offers four online modes – F**king Run, Contractions, Soul Survivor and Soul King.

F.E.A.R. 3 is now available in North America for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC at a suggested retail price of 59.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,693).
