Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising gets ‘Skirmish’ DLC, Title Update

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is the first person shooter from Codemasters. Some time ago it came to light that the game would be getting a patch alongside the first DLC for the game. Now Codemasters has announced that the first Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising DLC titled the ‘Skirmish’ pack, has arrived for PC and is bundled with a title update patch.

In addition, the title update for the Xbox 360 has launched on the Xbox Live Marketplace and will follow shortly on the PlayStation Network for the PS3. The ‘Skirmish’ DLC pack for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is to arrive later.

The downloadable content pack carries four new multiplayer maps as well as two new Fire Team Engagement (FTE) missions which feature both solo and four player co-op play. Two new ‘Infiltration’ multiplayer maps include Lumberyard and White Fang, while the two ‘Annihilation’ multiplayer maps include Stomping Grounds and Force Dispersal. The two new FTE missions include All Round Defence, in which players must defend a fortified complex from FLA waves using air support and attack helicopters, and Uphill Struggle, in which players set out to take control of a bunker under heavy fire from hillside reinforcements.

The Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising title update will feature a variety of improvements for the single-player and multiplayer modes of the game.

The ‘Skirmish’ DLC pack is free to download for the PC, while it will cost 400 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360 from the Xbox Live Marketplace, and 3.99 USD (approx. Rs. 190) or 3.19 GBP (approx. Rs. 250) or 3.99 euros (approx. Rs. 280) from the PSN for the PS3. Console release dates for the DLC are not known.
