Gran Turismo Sport gets a November release date for PS4

Gran Turismo Sport, the first ever game from the famed series to be made for the PS4 is all set to hit the console on November 15. That being its release date for North America, its launch in Australia and Europe will take place on the 16th and 18th of the same month.

Under development from Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo Sport is not part of the main series, but is more of a spin-off to it. This title will support virtual reality gaming with the help of Sony’s PlayStation VR accessory that’s slated to be launched this fall.

Gran Turismo Sport has been noted by Sony to be the first racing experience to have been created for real online competitions sanctioned by the FIA (Federation International Automobile). This will let you build your own racing career online. The game features plenty of offline content as well.

Following the launch of Gran Turismo Sport, Polyphony Digital will move towards developing Gran Turismo 7, the next main entry to the incredibly popular series that has its roots set in 1997. Very little is known about this game at the moment.

Like we said, Gran Turismo Sport will be released exclusively for the PS4 on November 15. It can be pre-ordered now through major retailers from all over the world. You can expect some new gameplay footage of it to pop up during this year’s E3 which is not too far away from now.
