Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog turns 15 Years, returns in 3D Form for PS3 and Nintendo Wii

Upcoming Sonic Game

It has been a whopping 15 years since the popular blue, spiky-haired game character Sonic the Hedgehog, has zipped past our game system screens, be it on the Nintendo Game boy, the Sega Genesis game console or Sony PlayStation 2. Sonic was designed to be the fastest and most technologically advanced video game character way back in the nineties.

Now that Sonic has gotten older, he’s also gotten more crisply defined. Sega is refreshing its most popular character for the new crop of consoles that include the Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

Sonic for PS3The latest Sonic game has Sonic the Hedgehog embarking on an adventure in Soleanna, a city of water. Players can also spend their time as several other characters including Silver, who has brilliant telekinetic powers to move objects and fly and to slow down the pace of the game.

Of course Sonic the Hedgehog still does his trademark spinning and hurling attacks. But only this time he’s in three dimensional form. So it’s bound to be great.
