A few weeks ago, we had reported that Jump Games had announced the Hanuman Returns mobile game after tying up with Percept Picture Company (PPC). Now they have sent word that the Hanuman Returns mobile game has been launched in India. It sees the Indian superhero taking on the evil forces of Guru Shukracharya and Rahuketu in a contemporary setting.
Salil Bhargava, CEO, Jump Games said, “Hanuman is the original Indian superhero with a phenomenal fan-following. We are putting in our best foot forward to make sure that the Hanuman game is available across the country. The idea is that anybody with a mobile phone should be able to play Hanuman and experience the thrill. All I can say is that Hanuman fans should gear up for even greater play experience in the games to come.”
Preet Bedi is the chief executive officer at Percept Picture Company. He explains, “We are quite excited about the forthcoming Hanuman mobile game developed by Jump Games. Percept has always believed in innovation and gaming is definitely the way to go as far as promotions and marketing is concerned in today’s times. Not to mention a parallel revenue model that it offers. We have set an example for the others to follow with the Hanuman game series. This is for the first time in India that three mobile games are being developed for an animation feature. We’re looking forward to extending the Hanuman experience on the mobile.”
The Hanuman Returns mobile game can be downloaded directly by CDMA subscribers but GSM users will have to get the game by messaging ‘Hanuman’ to 55454. Jump Games has also released a black & white version of the game compatible with low-end handsets. In addition, a Hindi version of the game has also been introduced.
Gamers can also download the game from Jump Games Kiosks stationed at prominent locations, starting Mumbai and Pune. Two more games based on Hanuman are also in the pipeline. Jump Games will be holding countrywide contest around the mobile game where high scorers can win attractive gifts and Hanuman merchandise.
