Film production company CastleBright Studios has gotten into an agreement with Revolution Software to make action films based on the Broken Sword series of adventure video games.
The Broken Sword movies will be produced by Douglas and Nav Gupta, who are now working on Stonehenge: Rise of the Druids. The movies will focus on the adventures of George Stobbart and Nico Collard who take on evil forces across the globe for ancient relics of power. The first movie will be The Shadow of the Templars. Along with Douglas and Nav Gupta, legendary video game creator Charles Cecil and gaming expert Justin Kaplan will also produce the film.
Douglas stated, “’Broken Sword’ is the kind of complex story every producer dreams about, rich with mystery and adventure, so for me, this is a real honor.” However, they did not release any details regarding the director, cast or the launch date of the Broken Sword movie.
