MLB Franchise is gearing up to introduce yet another game in its kitty. An announcement by Sony Computer Entertainment America reveals the launch of the MLB 09 The Show for PS3, PSP and PS2.
Much like other MLB games, the MLB 09 also packs in an amazing gameplay. MLB 09 The Show is bundled with some additional features like stadium detail and signage, wear and tear on the field, dusk to night lighting transitions and stadium JumboTron animations.
New features include Road to the Show that has interactive training and coaching along with a Franchise Mode for PS2 and PS3 that has a 40-man roster and gives players the owner like feeling when dealing with issues like salary arbitration, waiver transactions and more. The title also bundles in a new Online Seasons Leagues that lets users play games ahead in the schedule, My MLB Music feature that lets users create custom music tracks, Progressive Batting Performance that is a reward for players with superior skills and Pitcher/Batter Analysis for PS3 and PSP.
MLB 09 The Show for the PSP also offers big baseball action utilizing core gameplay features found on the PS3 version. The attribute distinct to PSP is the SportsConnect News2Go feature that will let gamers select and save latest news feeds while online. The content can be saved the Memory Stick Duo for later review.
The title also comes with features exclusive to the PS2 namely the ‘Player Creator’ that gives players an opportunity to create players, even the player’s face with EyeToy. Personal rituals, swings and also emotions can also be adjusted.
While there is no word on the price yet, MLB 09 The Show will reach stores in time for Spring training in North America.
