Escape Plan for PS Vita Detailed

While big wigs like Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 were busy grabbing eyeballs at gamescom, a forthcoming PS Vita title dubbed Escape Plan calmly managed to turn quite some heads with its unique looks. Developed by Fun Bits of Fat Princess and Fat Princess: Fat Roles fame, this Puzzle title is designed to make use of the handheld’s touch controls, announced the PlayStation blog.

Escape Plan

Escape Plan features two ill-fated characters named Lil and Laarg who have been detained in a ‘dark labyrinth of irreverent puzzles and traps.’ Players will have to put their puzzle solving skills to test so as to guide both the characters out of the capture. In doing so, they can take advantage the PS Vita’s multi-touch display.

Chris Millar, Producer, Fun Bits Interactive, posted on the blog, “I hope you are excited for Escape Plan as much as we are! Lil and Laarg will be as fun to watch in victory as they will in the hilarious agony of defeat. We look forward to reaching out to our fans and will continue to keep you posted on anything related to Escape Plan.”

The handheld’s rear touch panel and swipe interfaces will be capable of swiping, squeezing, poking and slapping these characters in addition to controlling their environment. Lil and Laarg would have to make their way through various ‘deadly’ rooms in order to escape from their captor and nemesis who intends to turn them into minions or sheep.

Judging by all the hype surrounding its trailer, Escape Plan for PS Vita sure seems to be one of the titles to watch out for. But since the handheld itself will be launching in 2012, we’ll have to wait for a long time to lay our hands on this game.
