CTA Digital was last in the news for providing a realistic racing experience to Nintendo Wii owners with the Inflatable Race Kart accessory. Now its time for PS3 to follow ensue but this time in the shooter genre. The company has unveiled the Assault Rifle Controller for the PS3 which is claimed to be the first of its kind. With this new inclusion, gamers can enjoy FPS titles in complete realism.
The new peripheral from CTA Digital sports a lightweight construction and is compatible with FPS games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 among other such titles. The Assault Rifle’s trigger acts as the R1 button while each of the PS controller buttons such as the start, D-pad, and select buttons are portrayed on the offering. There are also clickable thumb sticks which can be used to run, strafe, explore the in-game area and steady the weapon. It also comes complete with a removable stock and scope.
The Assault Rifle for the PS3 includes an integrated speaker with realistic sound effects. Players can execute single shot, three-shot bursts and automatic sound effects to heighten the on-screen action. Gamers can easily set up the rifle by simply plugging the USB dongle key to their PS3 systems and select the home button for wireless synchronization. The controller port selection is displayed through four LED lights.
