Prince Of Persia PC Will Be DRM Free: Ubisoft

Digital rights management or DRM has been a matter of discussion from quite some time now. EA used it for Spore and Rockstar too used DRM for Grand Theft Auto IV PC and they even explained why that step was taken. But Ubisoft are a little different as now it has emerged that Prince Of Persia PC, apparently, will be DRM free.

Prince Of Persia

On the official Ubisoft forums, the community manager for the company revealed that the PC version of the new Prince Of Persia game will be DRM free. Of course, it’s the retail copies of the game that will be free of the digital rights management. Here’s what was posted on the Ubisoft forums about the Prince Of Persia PC DRM:

“I was purely talking about store-bought copies of PoP which have no copy protection.”

According to the community manager of Ubisoft, they are expecting good sales as there is no reason for the gamers not to buy a copy. The Ubisoft community manager also mentioned that they have got a very good game with Prince Of Persia, that too without digital rights management and that’s why there is no reason to pirate it.
