X-Blades Anime-style Hack-and-Slash Game set for Late 2008 release

X-Blades Logo Southpeak Games has sent in word that its third-person hack-and-slash title X-Blades will release on the next-generation console and PC platforms sometime in late 2008.

X-Blades offers a perfect combination of cinematic style, beautiful animation and high-speed gameplay.

In X-Blades, players have to control an enchanting anime-style heroine named Ayumi, who destroys anything and everything that comes in her path using a range of guns, blades, magic as well as a healthy dose of cinematic flair. She also uses some of her acrobatic abilities and magic spells.

The story of X-Blades is filled with anime styled scenes and as the story unfolds, demonic powers and spectacular landscapes are revealed, offering gamers a number of battles and a chance for exploration.
