THQ has announced that they have extended the licensing agreement with Games Workshop until 2013. Not only that, they have confirmed a Warhammer 40K massively multiplayer online game based on the Warhammer universe.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War was critically acclaimed by the gamers when it was released in November 2006 for the PC. However, THQ has not divulged any details about the Warhammer 40K MMO. They have not specified a release window nor have they mentioned whether the game will be a simulation game or a first person shooter. But whatever it is, the game could be a huge hit.
