Reliance’s casual gaming site Zapak will organize an online gaming cricket tournament, possibly in time or just earlier than the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
Arun Mehra, CMO of Zapak said, “We have a budget of $2 million for the launch phase, which runs till January 15, 2007. We have also forged 7-10 alliances with brands for co-promotions. We are also coming out with an online cricket tournament in India during January or February next year. Also, we are starting our loyalty programme with Surfgold in the next four weeks.”
Zapak games has funds of around $2 million (approx. Rs. 9 crores) for the launch. They have also signed deals with 7-10 brands for co-promotions.
