Reef Entertainment announces their latest title after Free Running. Rogue Trooper: Quartz Zone Massacre is set to be released in February 2009. Rogue Trooper follows the UK science-fiction comic 2000 AD and is the story of a genetically engineered and enhanced soldier. This will be Reef’s first title for the Wii. It is set to be a really thrilling third person shooter title.
Peter Rezon, managing director of Reef commented on the title saying, “We have high hopes for Rogue Trooper. The tactical use of stealth as well as the all-out action fit perfectly with the Nintendo Wii interface, providing exciting and immersive gameplay.”
Rezon added, “Rogue has a cult following from when he first appeared in 2000 AD and we have returned to the original storyline for the Wii version of the game to remind people how Rogue came about, but it is the strong characters and storyline which will have great appeal for gamers of all types. We believe this will become one of the very best shooter titles ever available on Nintendo Wii.”
Rogue Trooper will be made available by partners of Reef Entertainment in major European countries, namely Digital Brothers in Spain, Atari in France, Italy and Germany and by Ubisoft in the UK and Ireland. Rogue Trooper is expected to be released all across Europe on February 27, 2009.
