Nintendo made a big announcement yesterday by corroborating an $80 slash in prices of its 3DS handheld. The price cut will come into force on August 10. But amidst all the drama surrounding this move, it also found time to reveal this week’s list of downloadable games for its devices. Heading the list is Let’s Golf 3D, which is a 3D version of the popular smartphone game by the same name.

Remember playing Brawl Brother on your SNES? Well, the 1992 title is back and can be downloaded on the Wii. The game would’ve sounded a good fit for the 3DS but surprisingly it does not feature on the eShop. Anyways, another title, also available for the console is a puzzler called Burn the Rope. It requires players to burn as much rope as they can while they progress through various levels.

Also new this week, are three games for both the 3DS as well as the DSi. GO Series: Portable Shrine Wars is based on the summer festival in Japan where people carry on their shoulders portable shrines called ‘Mikoshis.’ It puts players in head to head battles in such ‘fast and frantic competitions.’

Oscar’s World Tour needs players to swim, fly and run around the world and collect baby Oscars by eliminating enemies. Lastly, My Australian Farm is a Farmville-like breeding simulation game consisting of 6 kinds of customizable animals.
