One massively multiplayer online role playing game that is popular with the crowd is Ragnarok Online. The game was first released in Korea some seven years ago. Now it has emerged that GungHo Works will be bringing Ragnarok Online to the Nintendo DS. GungHo Works is the new console-gaming division of GungHo Online Entertainment.
So what can a gamer expect from Ragnarok DS? Well, the game will have the same basic gameplay of the PC version as gamers will control Ares and have to carry out quests in the realm of Rune Midgard. There are two brand new jobs, Dark Knight and Shaman. There is even an extensive online component where three people can team up and challenge the Tower of Mirages. It is basically a fifty floor randomly generated dungeon.
Ragnarok for the Nintendo DS is expected to be out in Japan on December 18, 2008. It will come with a price tag of JPY 6,090 (approx. Rs. 2380). It is not confirmed if the game will be released in the United States. This is the first time Ragnarok Online is being released on a non-PC platform.
